The Friends of Sompting Church is a fellowship of men and women who help to maintain the beauty and usefulness of St. Mary’s church. They achieve this by:

As Christians, the ‘Friends’ believe in the power of prayer – and in listening carefully to hear God’s answer.
Work
The Friends regularly offer their time and skills to support the church.
Gifts of money
Not only do many Friends give much more than the standard subscription amount, they also arrange fund-raising events throughout the year.
The annual subscription for membership of the Friends has been set at a level that’s affordable for as many people as possible. Annual membership of The Friends of Sompting Church is £2.00 for anyone in the UK and £10.00 for overseas members. An elected committee acts on behalf of all the group’s members.
